Before being recruited by Cigna Healthcare, Mr. Holman served as an e-learning developer at Diversified Technology Integrators, a consulting company based in Texas. He served in this capacity from 2019 to 2020 in Kenilworth, New Jersey. Mr. Holman’s extensive experience also included a significant tenure at Automatic Data Processing Inc., a global provider of cloud-based human capital management solutions, in Parsippany, New Jersey, as an instructional designer between 2000 and 2017.
Mr. Holman’s career began with his role as a human factors engineer at AT&T Network Operations Group from 1979 to 1985. He then became a technical education specialist at AT&T Center for Systems Education until 1991. His expertise expanded as a senior technical education specialist at AT&T Technical Education Center until 1996. At Lucent Technologies, Bell Labs Innovations, in Piscataway, New Jersey, Mr. Holman held various roles that contributed to his success, including senior instructional designer, learning solution realization team member, where he notably pioneered the conversion of instructor-led courses to web-based learning, and curriculum development manager.
Mr. Holman’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and a Master of Science in applied psychology with a focus on human factors engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey, in 1979. He has also completed coursework with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Holman’s professional credentials include completing the Learning Articulate Rise and Articulate Storyline Quick Tips course from LinkedIn Corporation, as well as credentials as a certified software quality engineer through the American Society for Quality since 1998.
Adding to his credentials, Mr. Holman is a member of the American Society for Quality. This professional membership has allowed him to remain relevant and abreast of industry trends. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Holman is actively involved in civic organizations, such as the Washington Park Historic District’s preservation efforts in North Plainfield, New Jersey. He also donates to his church.
A pioneer in user experience and human factors, Mr. Holman has been instrumental in meaningful corporate change initiatives and knowledge management. His contributions have been recognized with awards, such as the 4ESS Network Services Certificate of Recognition for outstanding contributions to training and education at AT&T Bell Labs Solution in 1998, a testament to his hard work and dedication to his field.
