Carl A. Scheraga, professor of business strategy and technology management and department chair at Fairfield University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in higher education.

With 41 years of experience to his credit, Prof. Scheraga has excelled at Fairfield University as a professor of business strategy and technology management since 2006 and chair of the department of management of the Charles F. Dolan School of Business since 2012. His areas of expertise include global business and strategic management, transportation, global logistics and supply train management, strategic management of technology and innovation, economics, entrepreneurship, and cross-cultural management. In his role, he is responsible for developing new programs within the department for mentoring junior faculty, helping them to develop in terms of their career paths, and recruiting new faculty into the department. He is also involved in curriculum development and scheduling.

Prof. Scheraga began his career as assistant professor-in-residence at the University of Connecticut School of Business Administration from 1983 to 1986. At the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, he garnered a stellar reputation as an assistant professor from 1985 to 1994. He established himself as an associate professor of business strategy and technology management from 1994 to 2006.

Before embarking on his professional path, Prof. Scheraga pursued an education at Brown University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and a Master of Arts in economics. He concluded his studies at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, graduating with a PhD in economics. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, he has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He volunteered with the Fairfield University Bellarmine campus and was featured in Millennium Magazine. He found success with his authored and co-authored articles in numerous professional journals.

In addition to his primary vocation, Prof. Scheraga remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the American Society of Transportation & Logistics, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the Academy of International Business, the Academy of Management, and the Transportation Research Forum. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He received multiple awards and commendations from the Transportation Research Forum, Fairfield University, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International, the Charles F. Dolan School of Business, the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
