Ms. Jewell is a retired school teacher and academic administrator who became the founder and chief executive officer of Educating Jewels LLC, a premier educational consulting firm based in Georgia, in 2020. Offering a range of services, she is recognized for her ability to coach and lead clients, including principals, in building better relationships and developing core values essential in schools. Ms. Jewell focuses a lot of her time on the inner workings to help them devise fundamental strategies that lead to positive and equitable student outcomes and identify potential barriers. In addition to her role at her firm, Ms. Jewell has garnered success as a consultant for Georgia State University’s Principals Center since 2020.
Leveraging many years of former success in the classroom, Ms. Jewell rose from an elementary school paraprofessional to a teacher, assistant principal and principal for various school districts throughout the state. Her most recent role was as a principal supervisor and executive officer for the Griffin-Spalding County School System from 2021 to 2023 and as a principal coach for over a dozen elementary principals between 2019 and 2022.
Becoming highly educated, Ms. Jewell holds a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education and teaching from Mercer University, a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction from Central Michigan University and an Education Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. Her degrees have been complemented by her certification as a Brene’ Brown Dare to Lead Trainer. Ms. Jewell’s success has been recognized through her membership in several industry-related organizations, such as the Georgia Association of Elementary School Principals, her civic involvement, where she has passionately mentored hundreds of teaching faculty members and has volunteered for various schools and religious organizations, and through her recognition in blogs, articles and awards. Among her most notable accolades, she received a Commendation for Dedication and Commitment to Georgia Students from the Georgia House of Representatives in 2014. Ms. Jewell attributes her success to the individuals she has encountered throughout her career, as well as the mentorship and testimonials from various professional partnerships.
