Dr. Ikechukwu A.C. Ndu, associate professor at William Paterson University, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in auditing and assurance.
With nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Ndu has built a successful career in auditing and assurance. He currently serves as an associate professor at William Paterson University, a role he has held since 2024, where he plays a key role in accounting, auditing, assurance, financial reporting, forensic accounting and fraud investigations and educates both undergraduate and graduate students. His previous experience includes working as an assistant professor in the department of accounting and finance at the University of Maine System from 2020 to 2024. He has taught both undergraduate courses at the University of Southern Maine and in the Master of Business Administration program at Maine Business School at The University of Maine. As a chartered accountant and certified public accountant (CPA) for 20 years, he has contributed to 17 peer-reviewed articles on accounting, banking, finance, economics, business, and education in academic journals, and has presented research papers at academic conferences worldwide.
Dr. Ndu also dedicates his time as a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales and serves on the Montana Board of Public Accountants. Additionally, he is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts®, serves as a board member and finance committee member for the Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center and Portland Community Squash, and is co-chair of the graduate curriculum committee at the University of Maine System. Laying a solid educational foundation, he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of East Anglia in Norwich, U.K., a master’s degree in mathematical training and finance from the University of London Bayes Business School, and a PhD in accounting and finance at Birkbeck, University of London School of Business, Economics, and Informatics. He also holds professional certifications as a certified public accountant, certified fraud examiner, and certified valuation analyst.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Ndu was honored with the University of London Doctoral Studentship Award in 2016 and is a recipient of several best paper awards for his research contributions. He attributes his success to his unwavering determination to excel in his field and make a positive impact on the world. He credits his parents as a great source of inspiration, instilling in him a strong work ethic. His ultimate goal is to use his skills and knowledge to help others and contribute meaningfully to society. In the coming years, he aims to achieve the respected position of full professorship, with the goal of becoming an authorship full professor. He is also committed to gaining recognition as a distinguished professional in his field, contributing to the business community, and offering valuable research and consulting services, specifically in making a positive impact on the lives of his fellow global citizens and less privileged communities.
