David G. Racer Jr., MLitt, Chief Executive Officer at Alethos Press, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in American government and history education and publishing.

With decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Racer has excelled as the chief executive officer and founder of Alethos Press in Saint Paul, Minnesota since 2000, a position in which he conducts research for new publications, including articles, while assisting editors and writers with their book projects. He has been additionally active as a teacher of American government at The YEAH Academy since 1998, where he plans, strategizes, and executes teaching programs while promoting extensive reading, studying, and writing practices. Similarly, he has provided his extensive wealth of knowledge to students through the Christian Home Academy as a teacher of American history and government. Since 2017, Mr. Racer has found further success as the director of communications for Dattilo Consulting Inc. (DCI) in Chaska, Minnesota.

Beyond these esteemed posts, Mr. Racer has likewise worked as the principal and chief executive officer for DGRCommunications Inc. since 2000. In the years prior, he thrived as the chief executive officer of Racer Enterprises Inc. between 1974 and 2000. During this time, he expanded upon his business operations as the chief executive officer for ServiceMaster of Maplewood from 1974 to 1983. Mr. Racer embarked upon his professional path in the U.S. Air Force, serving his country dutifully between 1967 and 1971.

To support his myriad ambitions, Mr. Racer initially pursued an education at Macalester College, completing coursework in music education in 1966. He continued his academic efforts with additional coursework in music education at the University of Minnesota in 1967. Soon thereafter, he shifted his attention toward coursework in educational psychology at The University of Southern Mississippi in 1971. Mr. Racer eventually concluded his studies at Oxford Graduate School in 2009, graduating with a Master of Letters in organizational leadership.

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Racer has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. A former teacher of American government at Mid-Metro Academy, he has also contributed to those in need as the president and chairman of the Constitution Education Foundation, the founding president of the Declaration Foundation, and a health care policy adviser for The Heartland Institute. Notably, he was recruited as the national campaign manager for Alan Keyes for President in 1996, which he considers among his crowning achievements. Furthermore, Mr. Racer has maintained his involvement with the First Evangelical Free Church in Maplewood, Minnesota.

Mr. Racer exhibited his expertise through his written works as well, including books on healthcare reform, professional journals, his personal column titled “Dave Racer’s Minnesota Report,” and such publications as “25 Keys to Healthcare Redesign” in 2011 and “The Manual – Health Care 2020: Connecting the Dots” in 2020. He was also hired by AM 980 KKMS as the host of his own eponymous radio show, “The Dave Racer Show,” between 1997 and 2000. Outside of this activity, Mr. Racer has been affiliated with such organizations as the National Federation of Independent Business, the Minnesota Physician-Patient Alliance, the Board of Human Life Alliance, and the National Association of Health Underwriters.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Mr. Racer has been honored on multiple occasions, including recognition as the Chairman of the Month in 1969 and as the Top Teacher of the Year in 2023. Having discovered his natural talent for teaching early in his career, he is incredibly proud to see parents seek out his unique approach to education for their children as it enables him to continue making a positive impact in his field. He has attributed his success to his longstanding career, his ongoing connection to his former students, his unwavering belief in Christ, and the encouragement and support of his life partner and children. Looking toward the future, Mr. Racer hopes to continue educating future generations, including the children and younger siblings of former students, while completing writing an upcoming textbook on the American government.
