Andrew J. Kolojejchick, Music Educator at Wyoming Valley West High School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music theory, education and directing.
An accomplished professional with decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Kolojejchick has excelled as a music educator at Wyoming Valley West High School. He has served the school as an assistant chorus director for 20 years and additionally works with the extracurricular band. Mr. Kolojejchick’s areas of expertise include marching band, concert band, jazz band, music theory, music history and choral directing.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Kolojejchick attended Marywood University and graduated with a master’s degree in music education in 2015. Alongside his position at Wyoming Valley West High School, he has shared his expertise as an adjunct professor at Marywood University. To keep abreast of his field, Mr. Kolojejchick has been affiliated with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association. He served the organization as the former president and music advocacy chair for District 9.
Mr. Kolojejchick has been recognized for his professional excellence with numerous awards and accolades. In 2011, 2016 and 2020, he received a Citation of Excellence from the National Band Association. The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association awarded him a Citation of Excellence for high school level music education in 2018 and a Service Award in 2012.
Mr. Kolojejchick attributes his success to his sincerity and passion for music. He values honest feedback and a refusal to accept mediocrity. In the coming years, he hopes to continue making music and contributing his knowledge as a music educator. Mr. Kolojejchick also hopes to become more involved in community outreach programs.
