Prisha Gustina, Owner, Music Educator, Self-publisher, and Consultant at Steps to Music Literacy LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in music education.

With nearly 35 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Gustina has excelled as a music educator, self-publisher, author, consultant, and owner of Step to Music Literacy since 2000. Her music reading curriculum is online for purchase at https://stepstomusicliteracy.com. During this time, she was additionally active as an adjunct professor at Concordia University Wisconsin between 2002 and 2013 and University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2014, 2017 and 2018. The former vice president and president of the Association for Wisconsin Area Kodály Educators Board, she has presented at conferences, workshops, and universities in China, Wisconsin, Kansas, and Illinois. Ms. Gustina began her career as a music educator in 1975 with West Grant Consolidated Schools in Patch Grove, Wisconsin and later retired from the Beloit Public School District in 2011.

To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Gustina completed undergraduate coursework at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the University of Wisconsin-Rock County before obtaining a Bachelor of Science in extended vocal music from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 1975 and a master’s degree in music education with an emphasis in Kodály from Silver Lake College in 2002. She was greatly inspired by her mother, who was an esteemed music teacher who taught Prisha how to play the guitar and piano before forming a family folk band alongside her brothers. In 2017, she contributed her wealth of knowledge to Denese Odegaard’s “Kaleidoscope,” which highlighted model music lessons from master music teachers around the globe who were aligned with the 2014 NAfME National Music Standards. In the coming years, Ms. Gustina hopes to continue being guided toward success by the Lord while thriving in her field.
