Josh Kaisen, director of outreach and education at the Human-Centered AI Institute at the University of Houston, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Kaisen, an esteemed professional in the educational sector, has been a faculty member at the University of Houston since 2023 as the director of outreach and education at the Human-Centered AI Institute. His role involves conducting research, reading recently published papers in business and artificial intelligence (AI), performing analysis and data collection, and engaging with colleagues and students regarding research proposals. The purpose of the Institute is to engage researchers in various fields and conduct practical research in areas such as information systems, marketing, accounting, computer science, computational social science and more.
Before joining his university, Dr. Kaisen was a visiting assistant professor at Saint Mary’s College of Maryland, a professional tutor at Wyzant, and an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida, dating back to 2018. While pursuing his advanced degrees, he garnered experience as a graduate assistant at the University of South Florida and the University at Buffalo, as well as an undergraduate assistant at Ohio University. Possessing a rich educational background, Dr. Kaisen holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and physics from Ohio University since 2012, a Master of Science in physics from the University at Buffalo since 2015, and a Doctor of Philosophy in economics from the University of South Florida since 2021.
In addition to his formal education, Dr. Kaisen has been affiliated with the Society of Labor Economics. As a scholar, he has published numerous times as a co-author in several professional journals, such as the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, the Journal of Instrumentation, and Physics Review Letters. Dr. Kaisen has received several behavioral research grants from the University of Houston in light of his accomplishments. He was also instrumental in his role in mentoring students to design a policy that resulted in a national award at the iOme Challenge by the Winter Institute for Simulation, Education and Research (WISER) Institute. Dr. Kaisen’s expertise in human behavior, AI and human-centered AI have been pivotal to his success. He also credits the guidance and support of friends and colleagues and his many professional experiences.
