Dr. Suresh Babu Chiruguru, member of the board of directors at Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academia.
With two and a half decades of experience, Dr. Chiruguru has established a successful career in academia, specializing in engineering and religious services. He currently serves in multiple roles, including faculty lead and professor at the Reach Institute of School Leadership, Reach University, since 2022, science peer coach for the Calcasieu Parish School Board since 2021, assistant director of the Louisiana Region 5 Science and Engineering Fair since 2017, and ITEC teacher with the Calcasieu Parish School Board since 2012. Additionally, he has been a general board member of the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators since 2022, chair of the scientific review committee for the International Science and Engineering Fairs since 2020, and pastor of missions and evangelism at the First Baptist Church of Ville since 2010.
Dr. Chiruguru laid a strong educational foundation, earning a Bachelor of Science in botany, zoology, and chemistry from Acharya Nagarjuna University in 1995, a Bachelor of Education in science and English methodology in 1996, and a diploma in electronics and communications engineering from the All India Institute of Management Studies in 2001. He later earned a Master of Divination in theological and ministerial studies and a PhD in missions and evangelism from AP Theological University in 2013 and 2016, respectively, and a Doctor of Divinity from St. Luke’s Evangelical School of Biblical Studies in 2016. His education also includes a master’s degree in psychotherapy and counseling from the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine in 2017, a Master of Business Administration in energy management from Jaipur National University in 2017, a Doctorate in management studies from the Indian Institute of Business Management in 2019, and a master’s degree in environmental science from Singhania University in 2021. Additionally, he holds certifications as an ISTE certified educator, Louisiana Department of Education mentor teacher, Microsoft innovative educator, and school administrator.
In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Chiruguru has earned numerous accolades, including LACUE’s 2022 high school teacher of the year, the Louisiana Educator Advocacy Development fellowship grant, and Vinton High School teacher of the year in 2011. Reflecting on his path, he believes teaching has transformative power, saying, “We can inspire and ignite the spark of creativity that transforms ordinary individuals into entrepreneurs, innovators, leaders, and professionals who design the future world.”
