With over two decades of experience, Dr. Babatunde has built a successful career in education, specializing in renewable energy technology. He currently excels as a senior instructor at Western Technical College, a position he has held since 2023. In this role, he focuses on renewable energy technology, particularly solar photovoltaic systems and solar power, teaching courses in science, electrical engineering, and energy systems. His prior roles include serving as a senior instructor and researcher at Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus, Cyprus, from 2021 to 2023, assistant professor and head of department at Girne American University, Cyprus, from 2018 to 2021, assistant professor at Middle East Technical University Northern Cyprus Campus, Cyprus from 2020 to 2022, and instructor and researcher at Cyprus International University from 2014 to 2018. At the same institution, he was also a graduate research assistant from 2013 to 2014 and a student research assistant from 2012 to 2013. He is also involved in the Lagos State Empowerment and Research Network as a facilitator.

Additionally, Dr. Babatunde has made significant contributions through his creative works. He is the author of “Establish Your Empire: Don’t Just Master the Game, Own the Game” and has been a speaker for FedEx. He is also civically engaged as the chancellor of Patrol Multiversity and donates his time with the New Energy Sustainability Center at Middle East Technical University in Turkey. He laid a solid foundation for his future endeavors by earning a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Ilorin in 2004, a master’s degree in energy systems engineering from Cyprus International University in 2014, and a PhD in energy systems engineering from Cyprus International University in 2018. In light of his impressive undertakings, he was named the Most Influential Personality by the African Student Grand Awards for 2017-2018. He was also recognized as the Best Researcher by the African Student Grand Awards in 2018, received the Research Assistant Award from Cyprus International University, and was named Best Leader by the African Student Grand Awards in Cyprus. 

Reflecting on his career, Dr. Babatunde decided to come to the United States in 2023 to continue teaching and instructing. He takes pride in having helped thousands of people worldwide in their careers, businesses, and academics, with his travels to Europe and the United States having made him a mentor to numerous young people. He attributes his success to his belief in having strong mentors and emphasizes the importance of sharing knowledge and experiences with both the younger and older generations. He believes that in order to stand out and succeed, it is essential to believe in something greater than oneself and to work hard. He also stresses the importance of continuous learning and improvement.
