Ms. Pendleton’s contributions have earned her recognition, including the Outstanding Special Education Teacher award from the Alamo Area Alliance of Black School Educators and the Teacher of the Year accolade at Woodridge Elementary School, both in 2023. She has also been honored as a two-time recipient of the Outstanding Educator award from 100 Black Men of Madison, Inc. Looking ahead, she aims to expand her impact in special education by becoming an individualized education program coach, while also pursuing graduate studies in school counseling. She attributes her success to the guidance of supportive mentors, whose influence has shaped her career trajectory and philosophy.
