Dr. Wang began her career as a dedicated student, pursuing her academic interests in theoretical chemistry at Iowa State University. Before embarking on her professional path, she continued her efforts with a Master of Science in chemistry from Iowa State University in 1995 and concluded her studies with a PhD in biochemistry and biophysics from Stony Brook University in 1999. Following these accomplishments, she completed her postdoctoral work as a visiting professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 2014.
Over the years, Dr. Wang has conducted experiments in molecular cloning, cellular assays, protein expression and purification, spectroscopic techniques, mass spectrometry, x-ray crystallography, and circular dichroism in the field of interdisciplinary research. She emphasizes the importance of adopting a growth mindset, learning from mistakes, and finding strength in embracing challenges.
