With four decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Weidman has excelled as a seasoned professional in the field of risk management. He has taught over 100 courses at Boston University; and over 2,500 students have taken his courses. Prior to this position, he was active as a director of business continuity at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Inc., overseeing crisis management and continuity operations for 15 years. Previously, he served as a principal consultant at Rosner Technologies and held various senior audit management roles at Stone & Webster, Inc.

Before embarking on his professional path, Mr. Weidman pursued an education at Colgate University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1975. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Business Administration in finance from Suffolk University in 1981. Following that, he earned a graduate certificate in enterprise risk management from Boston University in 2006.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Mr. Weidman has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He contributes to the Decision Sciences Research Laboratory at Boston University as a faculty representative and co-authored multiple research papers and a textbook. In light of his impressive undertakings, he has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was recognized with the Excellence in Teaching award from Boston University in 2022.

Mr. Weidman attributes his success to his keen interest in risk management and his commitment to educating individuals and organizations about this important emerging field. Looking forward, Mr. Weidman’s goal is to continue his involvement with the risk management graduate program at Boston University.
