Arisa K. Ude, faculty member at Dallas College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in computer science.

With 25 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Ude has excelled at Dallas College as a STEM adjunct professor from 2019 to 2023 and as a faculty member since 2023. As an adjunct professor, he has contributed to multiple academic institutions, including Richland College from 1998 to 2005, the University of Phoenix from 2004 to 2023, the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University Online from 2009 to 2011, Colorado Technical University from 2010 to 2013, the University of Maryland University College from 2011 to 2013, Southern New Hampshire University since 2014, and Columbia Southern University from 2019 to 2023.

Dr. Ude found success at AT&T Corporation in several roles between 1997 to 2019. He served as an analyst and programmer from 1997 to 2000, business manager from 2000 to 2002, senior technical team lead from 2002 to 2008, and senior requirements manager from 2008 to 2012. He continued his career at the same as an agile project manager and scrum master from 2012 to 2016, senior manager of business operations from 2016 to 2019, and senior software engineer in 2019.

Dr. Ude immigrated to the United States in 1978 and pursued an education at Langston University, where he earned an associate of science in data processing in 1980. He continued his academic efforts at the University of Central Oklahoma, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in computer science in 1981. At Texas Woman’s University, he completed a Master of Business Administration in 1984. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a PhD in computer information systems in 2006. Following these accomplishments, he accrued a Doctor of Philosophy.

Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Ude has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He volunteered with the North Texas Food Bank and Dallas Public Libraries and taught mobile application designing to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. In addition to his primary vocation, he remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to his areas of expertise. He was a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society, and the Association for Computing Machinery.

In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Ude has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the President’s Volunteer Service Award and was recognized for junior academic achievement by the Dallas Boys and Girls Club. He attributes his success to his ability to remain dependable. He is very dedicated, has a get-it-done mindset, and has never missed a day of work. In the immediate future, he intends to continue teaching until he is 90 and participate in more volunteer work.
