With 22 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Romero Sardiñas has excelled as adjunct professor and visiting professor at Florida International University since 2022. She began her career as a music teacher at Kids Village Inc. from 2000 to 2001. She served as choral director and department head at South Dade Senior High School from 2002 to 2006 before finding success as choral director and curriculum leader at Ronald W. Reagan/Doral Senior High from 2006 to 2022.

Before embarking on her professional path, Ms. Romero Sardiñas pursued an education at Florida State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in music education in 2001, a master’s degree in music teacher education in 2006, and a Doctor of Philosophy in teaching and learning in 2019. She holds a certification in elementary education from the United Latino Students Association. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2009 and received a Future of Music Faculty Fellowship from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2003.

In addition to her primary vocation, Ms. Romero Sardiñas remains affiliated with various organizations in relation to her areas of expertise. She was a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the College Music Society, the Florida Music Educators Association, the Children’s Voice Chorus, the College Music Society, and the Florida Vocal Association, where she also served on the board and as music chairperson. She donated time and service as an assistant at Amor en Accion from 1999 to 2002 and held the role of board member with Every Child is a Star.
