With more than 20 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Burry has excelled as online teaching certified professional renowned among his peers and students for his interactive teaching style, his sensitivity to learning styles from around the globe, his focus on diversity and classroom cohesiveness, and his life-long commitment to designing various college level courses for working adults. Most recently, he was active as an associate instructor with the University of Arizona Global Campus from 2019 to 2023 and an adjunct instructor with Iowa Central Community College from 2018 to 2023. He previously worked as the director of administration for the University of Suwon in South Korea from 2013 to 2017, where he was also appointed as the coordinator for his fellow teachers while living in Korea, during which time he interviewed, counseled, and helped orient his colleagues as they adapted to life among a foreign culture. He was also an associate professor for Luther University from 2010 to 2013, and a graduate student instructor on the Asia Campus for Dallas Baptist University from 2009 to 2010. Prior to his tenure in academia, Mr. Burry began his career as a transportation manager and trainer for Standard Parking Plus, part of APCOA Corporation, in Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport from 2001 to 2009.

To support his professional ambitions, Mr. Burry pursued an education at Dallas Baptist University, from which he earned a Bachelor of Arts in interdisciplinary studies, business administration and communication in 2007. He continued his academic efforts with a Master of Higher Education at Dallas Baptist University in 2011. In addition to these accomplishments, he obtained an advanced graduate certificate in higher education administration at Dallas Baptist University in that same year. Mr. Burry concluded his studies at Liberty University in 2015, graduating with an Educational Specialist in curriculum and instruction.

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Burry has thrived in numerous endeavors outside of his immediate circles. Notably, he was distinguished as the co-author of “The International College Faculty Handbook of the University of Suwon” as well as “The Teacher Orientation Manual for Incoming Professors at Dallas Baptist University, Asia Campus.” Between 1981 and 1991, he served in the U.S. Army, providing logistical support to forward transportation units, coordinating supply and administrative assistance, and contributing to the Chaplaincy Corps. As a testament to his outstanding tenure in the military, he received the Good Conduct Medal, the Army Achievement Medal, the Overseas Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and an Honorable Discharge. Likewise, Mr. Burry was presented with a Graduate School Academic Scholarship from the Gary Cook School of Leadership Studies at Dallas Baptist University in 2011 and the Outstanding Administrator Performance Award from the Ok-Soon Kim, PhD, Dean of the International College at the University of Suwon in 2017.
