Diana Fernandez, counselor and faculty member of South Florida State College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academic counseling.
Mr. Fernandez draws on nearly two decades of experience as a proven counselor and educator. Since 2022, she has excelled as a counselor and faculty member of South Florida State College, where focuses on providing critical aid and resources to students in need, especially via the utilization of various student-centered programs. Prior to her current appointment, she worked with Florida International University for four years. Similarly, she also operated within Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami for five years. Ms. Fernandez is also proud to have authored and published an article on work-life harmony.
Before embarking on her vocational journey, Ms. Fernandez pursued her own higher education, originally earning a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and sociology, magna cum laude, at the University of Miami in 2005. She subsequently continued her studies at her alma mater and achieved a Master of Science in Education for counseling and bilingual family marriage therapy in 2010. To commemorate her accomplishments throughout her career, she has been honored on several occasions with accolades and awards, including recognition as an Employee of the Month. Attributing much of her success to the support and guidance of her parents, Ms. Fernandez hopes to begin her own counseling firm, and she looks forward to achieving her doctorate in the near future.
