Evelyn J. Johnson, EdD, Motivational Speaker at eJohnson Consulting LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in educational administration and instruction.
Dr. Johnson is an accomplished retired educator with decades of experience to her credit. Prior to her retirement, she garnered experience as an assistant principal at Southwest Edgecombe High School and a classroom teacher for 15 years. She served as the principal of Roberson Elementary School and Phillips Middle School and contributed her skills as an elementary school teacher for five years. Since 2006, Dr. Johnson has found success as a motivational speaker through eJohnson Consulting LLC.
Alongside her primary positions, Dr. Johnson has found success as a member of the Edgecombe County Board of Education. Throughout her career, she also contributed as a member of the Edgecombe County Department of Social Services and volunteered at her local hospital. For her accomplishments, she was the recipient of a Star Teacher Award.
In preparation for her career, Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Winston-Salem State University in 1969. In 1980, she obtained a master’s degree in educational leadership from East Carolina University. Dr. Johnson concluded her higher education at Nova Southeastern University, graduating with a Doctor of Education in 1995.
Dr. Johnson attributes her success to the support of her husband and to her education. Her parents taught her to dress up, step up, and show up, and she relied on her passion to provide a good role model to her students. In the coming years, Dr. Johnson plans to write a book about death, chronicling her experiences with loss. She also hopes to establish a hall of fame for educators in her community to recognize the most hardworking professionals in the field.
