John Martin Ramsay, an author and the owner of ShareInPrint, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the fields of publishing and education.

After distinguishing himself across the span of a multifaceted career, Dr. Ramsay ‘retreaded’ to create ShareInPrint, a website through which he shares his podcasts, published works, and works by selected friends. His writings ruminate on the various things he has learned over the course of a long and exciting life – among them, he has penned “Answers Become Questions: A Guide for Living at the Interface Between the Finite and the Infinite,” children’s stories, poems, essays, and a novel “Life of a Don.”

Starting as a 22-year-old, Dr. Ramsay was Dairy Manager and Agriculture Instructor at Warren Wilson College; taught public school classes in Micaville, North Carolina; became Director of the John C. Campbell Folk School; and later the Director of Recreation Extension at Berea College including the Berea College Country Dancers, a troupe of college folk dance performers. After retiring, he taught English as a Second Language., and styled himself as the “Dancing Dairyman.”

Dr. Ramsay was celebrated as the Saint Louis Area Retired Teachers Association Volunteer of the Year and by the Scottish St. Andrew Society of Greater St. Louis, as an “Ageless – Remarkable Saint Louisan” in 2006. He received a Lifetime Contribution Award from the Country Dance and Song Society in 2010, and was honored with “John Martin Ramsay Day,” proclaimed by the mayor of Berea, Kentucky, to fall on October 16, 2010.
