In 2004, he graduated from the University of Potsdam with a Doctor of Philosophy in numerical relativity. For his professional excellence, he was named a Top Visualizer by NASA in 2010. To keep abreast of his career, Dr. Koppitz maintains affiliation with the American Association of Physics Teachers. In his spare time, he enjoys music and sailing.
