Shaika BuAli, High School Principal at Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in educational administration.
After initially obtaining a Bachelor of Science in management information systems in 2009 from The Kingdom University in Riffa, Bahrain, Dr. BuAli followed with a Master of Education in elementary and special education in 2012 from Holy Family University in Philadelphia. She thereupon earned a principal certification in educational leadership and administration in 2017 from PhillyPLUS before competing her Doctor of Education in educational leadership and organizational management in 2020 from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 2020.
Dr. BuAll’s extensive educational experience includes tenure as an International Baccalaureate teacher with Modern Knowledge Schools from 2009 to 2010, a special education teacher in science and math from 2010 to 2011 with the University City High School Promise Academy, special education emotional support science and math with Mastery Schools from 2011 to 2012 and as a special education teacher with Universal Audenried Charter High School from 2012 to 2013.
Dr. BuAll subsequently served with distinction as a special education instructional coach with Olney Charter High School from 2013 to 2014, a special education support services coordinator with ASPIRA Bilingual Charter School from 2014 to 2016 in Philadelphia and from 2012 to the present as a guardian for Crown Prince’s International Scholarship Program (CPISP) recipients while they attend boarding school in the United States. Since 2016 she has also provided superior education as assistant principal and then principal with Pennsylvania Virtual Charter School.
Dr. BuAli has trained multiple assistant principals over time and her role has grown as the school continues to grow. She has led multiple initiatives, including the addition of career services in high school. Dr. BuAli oversees those programs in addition to the training of assistant principals. She also works with special education teachers with classes and coaching the teachers.
Dr. BuAli grew up in a family of educators and her mother was a teacher. She has aunts who were involved in the field of education from librarians, to teachers, to principals. In addition, she attended a bilingual school, so she is completely fluent in English and Arabic. Her goal in coming years is to continue to help people and help them know the things that work that are related to education and online education. Her long-term goal is to extend her influence in education, and she intends to continue to move up the ladder and be able to support more and larger organizations.
