Dr. Li earned a Bachelor of Science in electronics engineering from Tianjin University in China in 1982. Deciding to further pursue a formal education, he attended graduate school at Tsinghua University before coming to the United States and enrolling at the University of Iowa. By 1984, he had acquired a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Dr. Li remained at the university for five more years, earning a PhD in 1989. Shortly thereafter, he was certified as a computer scientist and an electrical and electronics engineer, as well as in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, full-stack embedded systems, and chip design.
In the early days of his career, Dr. Li gained experience at Huayan College, UT Starcom, and S3 Inc. In later years, he served as the founder and director of Silicon Valley Innovation and the Education Association LLC. Currently, he is excelling in the education sector of his field. Dr. Li has brought his skills to both Texas Tech University and San Jose State University, enlightening students in the computer science department at both esteemed institutions. Today, he continues to excel in each of his educational, entrepreneurial, and technological endeavors. As a testament to Dr. Li’s success, he earned the Award of Excellence from the Halliburton Education Foundation. A member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Dr. Li is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Science and Engineering, Who’s Who in the South and Southwest, Who’s Who in the West, and Who’s Who in the World.
