Arlyn R. Rubash, PhD, Retired Educator, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in higher education.
Backed by a Bachelor of Arts in ceramic science from Penn State University, Dr. Rubash chose to remain at his alma mater to further his education in the following years. In 1968, he earned a Master’s in finance, which was followed by a PhD in the same field by 1970. Shortly thereafter, Dr. Rubash was hired as an associate professor at Bradley University. In this role, he excelled for over two decades, as his interest in educating others only got stronger with each year. In 2019, Dr. Rubash retired as a well-respected individual in his field.
A trustee of Proctor Endowment, Dr. Rubash considers his most notable accomplishment to be raising his children. He and his wife, Marjorie, share two children and four grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys seeing his family. Though he is retired, Dr. Rubash is always interested in learning, whether it be a new hobby or a subject of which he was previously unaware, as it keeps his mind sharp.
