Since 2020, Mr. Jean has excelled as a school counselor with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. He has additionally found success as a college professor since 2007. Before these positions, he was a program coordinator with Switchboard of Miami Inc. from 2004 to 2011 and an academic interventionist. Mr. Jean attributes his success to his determination and the inspiration of his brother and role model, Dr. Gracia Jean. With over 15 years of experience as a professor of psychology and over two years of experience as a counselor, Mr. Jean derives satisfaction from teaching at a college level.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Jean earned an associate degree in theology from the Nazarene Theological Seminary in 1983. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts at Lynn University in 2002 and graduated from St. Thomas University with a master’s degree in psychology in 2004. In 2006, Mr. Jean earned a master’s degree in international law and legal studies from St. Thomas University. He is currently pursuing his doctorate in international relations and affairs at the University of Miami. In the coming years, he hopes to spend time writing his memoir following his well-deserved retirement.
