In a career filled with highlights, Dr. Gibson considers one of his greatest career achievements to have been conducting three-hour talk on serial murder communication to New Mexico sheriffs and the chief of the Police Association. He was also invited by the Consumer Product Safety Commission to give congressional, legislative, regulatory agency testimony on how to improve recalls. A prolific writer and researcher, he has published multiple books and book chapters, attributing his successes to the various influences in his life, including his family, debate coaches, educators and editors. Looking ahead, Dr. Gibson hopes to be an agent for change as a spokesperson for prison reform, regarding more funding for guards and facilities, as well as the rights of the inmates.
