Nicholas Andronesco, Professor at the University of Bridgeport, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in physics.

Early in his life, Dr. Andronesco unearthed an interest in science and mathematics. As he progressed through grade school, he became familiar with physics and found that it was his true passion. When it came time to pursue a formal education, he earned a Bachelor of Science in statistics, economics, and cybernetics in Romania before coming to the United States in 1991. In 2001, Dr. Andronesco became a professor at the University of Bridgeport, going on to further his education by earning a Master’s in physics, as well as a PhD. He remains at the university today, continuing to educate those hoping to pursue a career in science. He is currently working towards receiving a Master’s in biology.

Outside of his primary ventures, Dr. Andronesco has worked as a coach for the Yale Physics Olympics, as an instructor at Bridge Academy, and has prepared students for the American League in Mathematics. The author of five poetry books, Dr. Andronesco has been the subject of a film about his life, entitled “Nicholas Andronesco.” He additionally co-wrote and translated the book, “Resurrection from Hell.” An active member of his industry, he maintains affiliation with numerous professional organizations. These include the Academy of Science, Culture, and Arts, the Poetry Society of China, and the German Society of Mathematics, Economy, and Operations Research, among others. Furthermore, Dr. Andronesco is credited as the creator of the cybernetic atom. He published “Cybernetic Atom” in 2012, 99 years after “Quantum Atom” by Niels Bohr.

As a testament to his success, Dr. Andronesco was nominated for the Nobel Prize Award in the field of literature. In 1974, he earned the Award for Directing Stage Play from the Physics College. Moreover, he has been honored six times by the First Literatura and Art. Reflecting on his accomplishments, Dr. Andronesco credits the many influential mentors with whom he has worked. He considers his greatest accomplishment to be his worldwide work on 1,400 research papers, all of which have been published and commended by the physics and cybernetics communities. In the coming years, Dr. Andronesco hopes to continue teaching at the college level. In his free time, he would love to travel to Easter Island.
