Backed by a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Geneva College, Mr. McKelvey began his career in 2015 as an accountant. However, he quickly realized that he could not help people to the degree he had always longed for by solely working in accounting. It was then that he decided to pursue law, returning to study at the Widener University Commonwealth Law School. In 2019, he graduated with a Juris Doctor. That same year, he was certified as an attorney in the state of Pennsylvania by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
In 2019, Mr. McKelvey began working as the president of McKelvey Oil Company. He additionally took on the role of an associate attorney with the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Today, he continues to excel in both these roles. Mr. McKelvey additionally maintains affiliation with multiple professional organizations. These include, but are not limited to, the Cambria County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Jonestown Pistol and Rifle Club, and the NRA.
Mr. McKelvey additionally co-founded the organization, Tomorrow’s Hope, which benefits homeless veterans. He has previously sat on the board of directors for the Deer Creek Cemetery Association. He feels lucky to be able to help his community by supplying jobs to those in need. In the coming years, he would like to further solidify himself as a beneficial member of his professional community. Mr. McKelvey’s motto is, “Do it now!”
