Dr. Young-Stabler’s distinguished career in education and leadership spans more than three decades, marked by a steadfast commitment to student achievement, faculty development and school improvement. Since 2025, she has served as an educational coach with Royelle T. Coaching & Consulting LLC, where she leverages her extensive experience to mentor teachers, counselors and administrators. Dr. Young-Stabler’s coaching philosophy centers on collaboration, goal-setting and fostering a supportive environment that empowers individuals to excel in their roles.

From 2000 to 2025, Dr. Young-Stabler served as a principal at Abbotts Hill Elementary School in Georgia, where she played a pivotal role in establishing the school from its inception. Under her leadership, Abbotts Hill became recognized as a high-performing institution with consistently strong test scores and a culture of academic excellence. Dr. Young-Stabler prioritized not only test preparation but also deep learning, instilling confidence in students and ensuring they were well-prepared for subsequent grades. Her approach emphasized that assessments were opportunities for students to demonstrate their knowledge rather than sources of anxiety.

Concurrently, Dr. Young-Stabler served as an assistant principal at Summit Hill Elementary School from 2000 to 2019, contributing to the school’s administrative leadership and supporting faculty development initiatives. Before her tenure in Georgia, she held several principalships in Ohio, beginning in 1992 at Stewart Primary School, then at Margaret Park Elementary School from 1997 to 1998, and at Bettes Elementary School between 1998 and 1999. Dr. Young-Stabler began her administrative career at Stewart Primary School after briefly serving as an assistant principal at Harris Elementary School in 1992.

Dr. Young-Stabler’s journey in education began as a teacher at Stewart Primary School from 1990 to 1992, following her appointment at Crouse Elementary School during the 1989-1990 academic school year. Early classroom experiences shaped her understanding of effective instruction and student engagement, principles that would guide her throughout her career.

Dr. Young-Stabler’s academic background has been foundational to her success as an educator and leader. She holds a Bachelor of Science in elementary education, a Bachelor of Science in business management and marketing, and a Master of Arts in educational leadership from The University of Akron. Additionally, Dr. Young-Stabler acquired a Doctor of Education in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

In addition to her formal education, Dr. Young-Stabler’s coaching expertise was honed over a decade of training at The CaPP Institute, culminating in her graduation at the highest level in 2025. Her credentials earned during this time included coach training intensive certified personal and executive coach, mentor coaching and advanced professional coach. Other credentials include expulsion hearing certification, LETRS training, and the Leveraging Leadership with Paul Bambrick-Santoyo. Dr. Young-Stabler is currently pursuing credentialing through the International Coaching Federation to advance her career further.

Dr. Young-Stabler is actively involved with several professional organizations that reflect her dedication to advancing education. She is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the Professional Association of Georgia Educators and the Georgia Association of Educators. She also serves as a national principal mentor for the National Association of Elementary School Principals, supporting aspiring leaders nationwide.

Among other professional involvements, Dr. Young-Stabler’s influence extends to professional development and thought leadership. She has presented at numerous conferences and workshops, including “What Principals Need to Know” at Georgia State University’s Principal Center in 2016, the School Enrichment Model presentation in 2017 and the Ad Staff Presentation on the MTSS Process for Fulton County Schools in 2024. Dr. Young-Stabler has also notably led presentations about conflict resolution strategies at the National Alliance of Black School Educators Conference in Reno in 2004 and about designing elementary classroom performance tasks for Fulton County Schools’ Summer SBI Presentation in 2013.

Dr. Young-Stabler has been recognized by the mayor’s office as both the youngest and longest-serving principal in Fulton County, a testament to her enduring impact on educational leadership. Her accolades have included inclusion on Akron Public Schools’ Top 10 Principals’ List every year between 1993 and 1998, recognition as the Northeast Principal of the Year by Fulton County Schools in 2014, and, among other honors, acknowledgement among the Top 10 Most Empowering People Shaping Tomorrow’s Leaders by CIO Views in 2024.

Looking ahead, Dr. Young-Stabler envisions collaborating with administrative teams to help them achieve their goals through enhanced communication and interdependent practices. She is committed to cultivating future educational leaders by providing opportunities for teachers to develop leadership experience. In addition to her ongoing contributions to education, Dr. Young-Stabler is pursuing a career as a real estate agent and establishing a real estate business.
