William R. Harbron, EdD, executive coach and consultant at WRH Coaching and Consulting LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education administration and executive coaching.

Having devoted more than 50 years to teaching and administrative work in various school districts, Dr. Harbron now utilizes his expertise to offer professional coaching, leadership development and consulting. He retired from his initial career path in 2025 and launched his own company, WRH Coaching and Consulting LLC. Drawing on decades of experience across schools in New Hampshire, Ohio and Wisconsin, Dr. Harbron connects with executives and leaders across industries who can benefit from his insights. He specializes in faith, leadership development, personal growth and team alignment.

Immediately prior to shifting into coaching and consulting, Dr. Harbron spent nearly 10 years as the school superintendent and chief executive officer of the Dover School District. Having previously built his reputation as a superintendent at the Northern Ozaukee School District from 2002 to 2011, the West Muskingum Local School District from 2011 to 2017, and the Denmark School District from 1999 to 2001, he was recruited to join Dover due to the district being in crisis and in need of strong leadership. Though Dr. Harbron faced serious challenges in his first years at Dover School District, including tragic deaths and an incident of racism, he helped unite teachers, students, parents and the broader community around the core mission of educating children. Noting that Dover was his first experience in a large district rather than a rural area, he believes these difficulties helped strengthen his character and gave him a chance to showcase his ability to guide the district with faith and wisdom.

Earlier in his professional journey, Dr. Harbron contributed as a middle school principal at the Appleton Area School District, the Maple Dale-Indian Hill School District and the West Muskingum Local School District. His first administrative positions were as an elementary school principal at the Bowling Green City School District and the Ross Local School District, beginning in 1977. Before that, Dr. Harbron served as an elementary teacher at the Forest Park-Green Hills City School District. His career started in 1973 as an elementary school teacher at the Edgewood City School District.

Alongside the values instilled in him by his parents, Dr. Harbron’s professional accomplishments have been supported by his own education, beginning with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and teaching from Miami University in 1973. He then obtained a master’s degree in educational leadership from the same institution in 1976, followed by a specialist degree in educational leadership and administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1998. Subsequently, Dr. Harbron earned a Doctor of Education in educational leadership and administration from Edgewood University in 2007. He maintains membership in a variety of relevant organizations to further back up his credentials, including AASA, the School Superintendents Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the District Administration Leadership Institute and the New Hampshire School Administrators Association.

In addition to his primary vocation, Dr. Harbron is a loving husband, father to two and grandfather to five. Looking back on his career, he is proud of his stewardship, especially during his time at the Dover School District, and is proud to have left when the district was set up for continued success and his skills were no longer needed. Dr. Harbron is eager to witness that district’s progress in the coming years. Along with his coaching and consulting work, he also hopes to explore more opportunities for public speaking.
