Mr. Pompile is a respected professional in the hospitality sector whose career began in 1999 as a nighttime operations manager at Ski Shawnee Inc. in Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania. Throughout his tenure, his profession has taken him to various parts of the country as far as California, progressing in his field. Today, Mr. Pompile is the director of culinary and environmental education and the vice president of expansion at ASPIRA Inc. of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia since 2020 and 2023, respectively.
For over 55 years, ASPIRA Inc. of Pennsylvania has provided underprivileged youth, primarily Latino and other vulnerable individuals, throughout North Philadelphia with high-quality education, public advocacy, and other programs to empower communities.
Grateful for the chance to be a part of ASPIRA Inc. of Pennsylvania, Mr. Pompile draws tremendous satisfaction from the successful launch of its culinary environmental education program. The center, which houses a state-of-the-art greenhouse, encompasses an innovative aquaponics system to cultivate various plants for fresh, organic ingredients for the company’s onsite café. Additionally, the program teaches the children the importance of nutrition, composting and farm-to-table practices via hands-on learning experiences, thus fostering sustainable agricultural practices.
Before joining his organization, Mr. Pompile succeeded as the chief consultant for Change Today Consulting in Philadelphia from 2017 to 2023, where he was instrumental in providing his expertise to others. He also worked for Evergreen Master Association Inc. in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, as an assistant general manager, Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, as the director of guest services, and The Inn at Fernbrook in Chesterfield, New Jersey, as a general manager and event manager. Mr. Pompile’s foundational roles included serving as a camp counselor and teacher at the Fernbrook Farms Environmental Education Center in Chesterfield.
In preparation for his future, Mr. Pompile studied at the East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, where he acquired a Bachelor of Science in earth and space science in 2005. Besides his formal education, he has been active in professional organizations, such as SCORE Mentors, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors, as its associate vice chair of educators and events from 2017 to 2024. He has continued to make a difference as a board of advisors member of Quench Innovations since 2020. Civically, Mr. Pompile was a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Lasell University board of advisors between 2018 and 2020.
Reflecting on the past 25 years, Mr. Pomplie is grateful for how far he has come and the opportunities presented to him throughout his tenure. With every new endeavor, he has garnered new experiences, lessons and insight, earning him respect in the industry for his ability to adapt and thrive.
As he continually seeks new and challenging prospects, Mr. Pompile remains dedicated to the continued growth and expansion of the culinary and environmental education program at ASPIRA Inc. of Pennsylvania. His vision includes establishing an environment where other schools can view his program as a model to follow and implement within their institutions. Furthermore, Mr. Pompile wishes to inspire and mentor others to replicate their success, creating a broader community of excellence in education.
