Diane Fallier, Professor at Nashua Community College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in computer networking and cybersecurity.

With 40 years of experience to her credit, Ms. Fallier has excelled as a professor at Nashua Community College since 2020. In this position, she not only teaches students about information technology, technical support, and cybersecurity, but supervises two degree programs and two certificate programs that carve out distinct paths for future generations of computer science professionals. In addition to this role, she is additionally active as a program coordinator for the information technology curriculum, for which she determines lesson plans, the sequence of courses, and the ideal program outcomes for students. Likewise, Ms. Fallier is currently engaged in the process of seeking recognition from the National Security Agency for Nashua Community College to become part of the Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity.

Prior to these posts, Ms. Fallier served as a senior technical trainer with Demandware from 2013 to 2015, an information developer with Amazon Robotics from 2016 to 2019, and an instructional designer with Kronos Incorporated from 2019 to 2020. She previously worked as an information technology director for Nashua Catholic Regional Junior High School between 2011 and 2013 and an adjunct faculty member at Nashua Community College between 2012 and 2013. Earlier, Ms. Fallier contributed to ApollSystems as a contract software engineer in 2008 and Red Hat as a course developer in 2009.

Ms. Fallier formerly found success with Sun Microsystems between 1995 and 2008, during which time she was recruited as a technical support engineer, an instructor, a course developer, an educational developer, and a software engineer. She also refined her skills as a training consultant at Wang Labs from 1986 to 1991, and a trainer and course developer for the Concurrent Computer Corporation from 1992 to 1995. Ms. Fallier began her career as a trainer with Interl between 1984 and 1986.

To support her professional ambitions, Ms. Fallier pursued an education at the University of New Hampshire, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in music. She concluded her formal academic efforts at Southern Methodist University, from which she graduated with a Master of Science in computer science. In addition to these accomplishments, Ms. Fallier has earned myriad certifications to help her advance within her field, including Cisco Certified Network Associate certifications from Cisco, a CyberOps Associate certification from Cisco, an Academy Educator certification from Amazon Web Services, and a Graduate certification from the Academy Cloud Foundation and Amazon Web Services.

Beyond her primary responsibilities, Ms. Fallier has participated in numerous endeavors outside of her immediate circles. To best support her community, she has provided her time, resources and attention to the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire and the Congregational Church of Hollis. She has also established herself as a resolute patron of the arts, having been associated with the Lowell Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hollis Town Band, and the Merrimack Valley Flute Choir. Furthermore, Ms. Fallier has been affiliated with the American Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in order to remain current with the latest developments in her discipline.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Ms. Fallier has accrued several accolades throughout her career. She was recognized with an Award for Excellence by the Intel Corporation. She was similarly presented with an Award for Excellence from Sun Microsystems. She has attributed her success to her unwavering desire for excellence, as she always ensured that the information presented to her students was accurate and delivered in a manner that was easy to comprehend. Ms. Fallier is also driven by her insatiable thirst for knowledge, having strived to expand her technical knowledge by reading the latest books in computer science.

Ms. Fallier was drawn to her current profession after working at a computer center while pursuing her master’s degree, having discovered her passion for being in the classroom after an opportunity arose enabling her to teach computer operations courses. As a result of her involvement in those classes, she was offered a training position with Intel, which ultimately paved the path to her future as an educator. Among the highlights of her career, she fondly recalls being entrusted with the task of developing 240 hours of comprehensive training modules for the support team during the release of the Solaris 10 by Sun Microsystems. Looking toward the future, Ms. Fallier hopes to continue helping individuals improve their position in life through classroom learning as she prepares for her well-deserved retirement.
