Moreover, Mr. Beyah has been simultaneously pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in integrative and functional nutrition at Saybrook University in Pasadena, California, to refine his skills in his field.

Mr. Beyah embarked upon his professional path at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, from which he earned a Bachelor of Science in environmental science and renewable energy and a Bachelor of Science in nanobiotechnology and nanofabrication in 2016. This dual major allowed him to explore the intricate connections between technological advancements and environmental sustainability, sparking a deep interest in how these fields intersect and influence one another. Mr. Beyah concluded his academic efforts at the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology in 2020, at which point he graduated with a Master of Science in biotechnology.

Mr. Beyah began his career as both a GIS technician at Harrisburg University and a nursing floor volunteer with Holy Spirit Hospital from 2014 to 2016, where he enhanced his technical skills by working on mapping and data visualization projects. During this time, he was also active as a chemistry technician with ALS Environmental between 2015 and 2016. Briefly employed as a sales associate with GNC in 2016, Mr. Beyah was subsequently recruited as a laboratory technician for Lenscrafters from 2016 to 2021, a forest insect pest aide with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture in 2020, and an aquaponics research assistant with the Harrisburg University of Science and Technology from 2019 to 2021.

Mr. Beyah initially garnered experience on the other side of the classroom during this time, serving as a substitute teacher with Abel Personnel and A+ between 2019 and 2021, a STEM outreach teacher with Steelton Highspire Elementary School between 2019 and 2020, and a science teacher with the Salvation Army in 2020. In the years that followed, he found success as a STEM and hydroponics farm manager at the Imhotep Institute Charter High School from 2021 to 2024, where he not only taught agribusiness as an elective but also supervised STEM-related projects aimed at teaching students about sustainable farming practices. As a testament to his exceptional results in this position, Mr. Beyah was presented with the STEM Star Award from the Imhotep Institute Charter High School in 2023.

He likewise accrued his herbalism certification from Now YOu Know and a hydroponics certification from Alison Analytics. Furthermore, Mr. Beyah became certified as a ChatGPT expert through the Blockchain Council.

As an adjunct professor at Lincoln University, Mr. Beyah teaches environmental science and biology to high school students wanting to learn future-ready skills with the ultimate aim of simplifying complex STEM concepts. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the practical application of science in everyday life, ensuring that his students understand how scientific principles relate to the world around them through the creation of hands-on projects. Additionally, he offers his expertise to students at the Esperanza College of Eastern University by teaching undergraduate courses on anatomy and physiology. Mr. Beyah’s scholarly contributions include co-authoring a research paper titled “A Review of Green Tea Catechin Antimicrobial and Antineoplastic Activity” in 2021, which explored the health benefits of green tea compounds and remains a highlight of his career thus far.

Mr. Beyah attributes his success to the discipline and work ethic instilled in him by his family, particularly his father and grandfather. Despite growing up in a public school environment that lacked many resources available to his collegiate peers, he worked tirelessly to thrive in his studies, never hesitating to ask for help when needed. Mr. Beyah’s humility and perseverance continue to shape his approach to both teaching and learning.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Beyah envisions a future where he can combine his expertise in biotechnology, environmental science, and nutrition to create sustainable solutions that address nutritional disparities around the world. He also hopes to remain engaged in academia so he may inspire the next generation of scientists while contributing to research that improves global health and well-being. Mr. Beyah’s long-term goal is to ensure that the communities he serves, particularly those underrepresented in science, have access to the knowledge and resources necessary for a better future.
