Mary H. Green-Lee, EMBA, MEd, Dean of Instruction at Fort Bend Independent School District, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Ms. Green-Lee began her career in the banking industry, where she served as a corporate trainer for two different institutions before answering her calling to become an educator. Her first position in education was as a marketing and education teacher at a public high school in Seguin, Texas. In 2001, she became a franchise owner and school director of Barbizon of South Texas at San Antonio until 2003. Ms Green-Lee advanced to an educational leadership role as a school director at Career Point College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, between 2005 and 2007. She subsequently returned to Texas to become the campus improvement specialist at George Bush High School within the Fort Bend Independent School District, where she has acted as the dean of instruction at Hightower High School within the same district since 2016. She also enjoys helping her husband manage their AirBnB business.
Attributing her dedication to education to her mother and grandmother, who were also educators, Ms. Green-Lee completed coursework in business administration and marketing at the University of Missouri at Columbia before earning her bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2003, she obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration in organizational leadership from the University of Texas at San Antonio. After shifting her focus to education, Ms. Green Lee earned a Master of Education in educational, instructional, and curriculum supervision from the University of Houston in 2010.
