Prior to her current endeavors, Ms. McKinney served as a home educator from 2010 until 2017, during which time she also worked as the lead teacher at the STEAM Academy. She went on to work as a teacher at the Greenville County Schools between 2017 and 2020, and received a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education at North Greenville University in 2020. Having recognized a need for tailored tutoring services in the local student population during the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. McKinney was ultimately inspired to establish Creative Minds Tutoring.
In accounting for her success, Ms. McKinney largely credits her dedication to positivity, as well as her calm and patient approach to working with students. Among her most cherished accomplishments, she is particularly proud to have founded a successful business while simultaneously raising two children of her own. Looking toward the future, Ms. McKinney aspires to transition her tutoring operations to a larger facility, through which she can offer a more comprehensive range of educational services and products.
