Mr. Stinson has established himself as a leader in public school education and athletic administration, currently serving as health educator and athletic director at Millard North Middle School in Omaha, Nebraska. Since 2008, he has taught health education to students in grades six through eight, building positive relationships through daily interaction and student support. Mr. Stinson’s expertise in middle school health curriculum is widely recognized, reflecting his commitment to student well-being and academic growth.
In 2015, Mr. Stinson assumed the additional role of athletic director at Millard North Middle School. For more than a decade, he has coordinated middle school athletic programs by aligning coaches with program goals, managing schedules for games and events, arranging officials as needed, and overseeing athletic budgets to ensure programs are equipped with proper uniforms and equipment. Mr. Stinson has also organized staffing for concessions and track timing, directed track meets and coordinated athletic competitions, including football, volleyball and cross-country. Earlier in his tenure, he served as a health instructor on campus from 2008 to 2014, refining his instructional techniques and curriculum development strategies.
In addition to his work at the school, Mr. Stinson served as an independent marketing director for Team National for 10 years, beginning in 2013. This role encompassed developing his business management skills while helping clients earn residual income.
Mr. Stinson’s foundational teaching years began as an elementary physical education teacher at a school in Liberty, Missouri, for a year, followed by three years as a middle school teacher. There, he taught sixth through eighth grades, an experience that was instrumental to his future success, with a specialization in adolescent health education.
Returning to his hometown after his initial teaching experience, Mr. Stinson contributed significantly to high school athletics by teaching health and physical education and by serving as football coach, strength coordinator, head coach of the boys’ and girls’ track teams and assistant coach for the girls’ basketball team. Additionally, Mr. Stinson worked as a technology coordinator for two years, focusing on improving internet connectivity across the district’s computers.
Mr. Stinson graduated with a bachelor’s degree in health and physical education for grades PK-12 from Peru State College. He also earned a Master of Education in physical education teaching and coaching from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville. In addition to his formal education, Mr. Stinson received several certifications that have enhanced his professional capabilities, including a K-12 administration certification from the University of Nebraska at Kearney and recognition as a registered middle school athletic administrator by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
As a respected leader in his field, Mr. Stinson has presented at several state-level conferences and remains actively involved with organizations that share his educational philosophies. Beyond these endeavors, he is civically engaged with organizations such as the Knights of Columbus, The Man In You and Mary Our Queen. He is also a volunteer at Saint John Vianney. These organizations demonstrate Mr. Stinson’s commitment to the community and beyond.
Inspired by his elementary school physical education teacher and basketball coach, Mr. Stinson served as a student assistant for two years before pursuing higher education at Peru State College. Throughout his lengthy career, he has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public education. He is most proud of the work he has accomplished in this field, guided by a growth mindset and a philosophy centered on determination and service. His dedication to seeing every task through to completion is matched by his genuine concern for students’ best interests. As he advanced professionally, Mr. Stinson developed a passion for mentoring new educators and administrators, ensuring that the values he upholds continue to shape future generations.
Mr. Stinson attributes much of his success to the professional development opportunities provided by the districts where he has worked. These experiences have kept him abreast of 21st-century skills and student needs while encouraging data-driven instruction and innovative approaches, such as the integration of artificial intelligence. Eager for the future, Mr. Stinson remains committed to excellence in education while supporting the next generation of athletic administrators nationwide, guiding new professionals entering athletic administration through national-level certification courses offered by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
