Title: Paraeducator
Company: Baltimore City Public Schools
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Geoffrey Rudolf, paraeducator at Baltimore City Public Schools, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education programs.

Mr. Rudolf has established an esteemed career in education and community service, having excelled as a paraeducator at Baltimore City Public Schools since 2007. In this capacity, he works at the William S. Baer School, where his responsibilities include mentoring other pastors, providing coverage for them during absences, developing educational resources and materials, assisting with personal hygiene and feeding for students, and supporting physical mobility as well as occupational and physical therapy communication efforts. Mr. Rudolf also supports the lead teacher in the classroom, leads the school’s spirit team by organizing events and activities, and contributes to the transition team to help students move successfully through different stages of their education.

Since 2019, Mr. Rudolf has additionally held the role of behavior specialist at Baltimore City Public Schools. His expertise in paraeducator programs is widely recognized, and he is sought after by professionals and doctors for advice and support. Among his most significant achievements are the transformations he has witnessed in students initially identified as non-verbal or incapable of independence; under his guidance over several years, these students have graduated, secured employment and developed communication skills. Many continue to keep in touch with him, a testament to his lasting impact on their lives.

In 2023, Mr. Rudolf began managing the snack bar at Rolling Road Golf Club, where he oversees daily operations and ensures quality service for members and guests. He has also served as banquet captain at Rolling Road Golf Club since 2005, coordinating events and supervising staff to deliver exceptional experiences. Mr. Rudolf has managed rental properties as real estate rental manager for Agapa Homes since 2009. He has also found success as the owner of Geoffrey Real Estate Group, where he oversees business operations and property management services.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Rudolf worked as a subcontractor for the city of Baltimore at the help desk, supporting programs for students with disabilities by tracking individualized education programs, attendance and behavior records. He provided additional technical support to staff and families until a departmental restructuring led to his transfer to the information technology department as a technical support professional. In this role, he maintained legal paperwork for two schools and played a key part in helping one school exit a consent decree ahead of others in the city.

Mr. Rudolf initially pursued an education at the Community College of Baltimore County, from which he earned an associate degree in business administration in 2019 and an associate degree in business management in 2020. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Western Governors University. Furthermore, Mr. Rudolf is certified through the ABA and garnered his licenses as a pastor and bartender.

The foundation for Mr. Rudolf’s dedication to education was laid early on by his family’s deep involvement in the field—his grandmother led the English department at Frostburg University while his mother served Baltimore City Schools as an individualized education program chair, special educator and specialist at North Avenue. Growing up with a brother living with disabilities further instilled patience and understanding that have shaped his approach to working with students facing challenges.

Mr. Rudolf credits Alicia Harvey Smith, a college mentor who guided him on leadership development and priorities, as an important influence on his growth. His mother’s career also provided early exposure to educational environments; before reaching working age, he assisted her in her office, which later facilitated his entry into employment with Baltimore City Schools.

Mr. Rudolf attributes his success to perseverance in overcoming personal disabilities related to reading and writing—a challenge that motivated him after being told these would limit his potential. He believes strongly that everyone has something valuable to teach regardless of background or circumstance and remains committed to learning from those around him. His moral principles are rooted in faith; as a licensed pastor, he emphasizes action over words—supporting those most in need without hesitation or ulterior motive.

Civically engaged, Mr. Rudolf has been appointed as treasurer for Blooming Beyond Barriers’ parent-teacher association since 2025. He participates in initiatives such as KickAthon for students with autism and the Nobility Program, advocates for The Maryland School for the Blind and supports various communities throughout Baltimore City. His stellar endeavors have been recognized through accolades honoring his efforts to go above and beyond expectations. Mr. Rudolf’s professional affiliations include his membership in The National Society of Leadership and Success.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Rudolf plans to complete his bachelor’s degree before pursuing a master’s degree in special education through a program that will cover his graduate study costs. His aspirations include advancing to a specialist position at North Avenue headquarters within Baltimore City Schools where he can advocate for students with disabilities citywide—supporting teachers with classroom strategies, lesson delivery assistance and resource sharing between schools while serving as a central hub for guidance and support.
