Ms. Price has established herself in the world of sterile processing education over the course of more than 15 years. In her early career, she was associated with the Grand View Hospital network, including as a central processing technician at Main Line Health from 2014 to 2015. Ms. Price first took on a supervisory role in sterile processing at ChristianaCare beginning in 2016. She then shifted into teaching, fulfilling such roles as educator at Advantage Support Services Inc., educator at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and high-level disinfection and sterilization education and quality specialist at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

As her professional life has progressed, Ms. Price has contributed as an implementation specialist at Censis Technologies Inc., interim manager at Whitman Partners, interim manager at HealthTrust Workforce Solutions and a contractor at Logan Consultants LLC Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Education. Many of Ms. Price’s recent contract roles have required traveling, with her most recent as an interim leader for B.E. Smith taking her to Providence County, Rhode Island. These opportunities have allowed her to share her expertise beyond her local area, offering greater growth for the industry as a whole.

Culminating her career thus far, Ms. Price has served as a quality and education manager at Pennsylvania Hospital since 2024. This institution is associated with the University of Pennsylvania Health System and Penn Medicine. Ms. Price’s responsibilities include developing policies and procedures around sterile processing, implementing new devices and advancements, and training staff. She collaborates with vendors to ensure the quality of equipment in the hospital and plays a key part in ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines.

As she has embarked upon her professional journey, Ms. Price has been supported by her own education. She is certified as a registered central service technician, as an endoscope reprocessor, and as a health care leader. Additionally, Ms. Price is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary arts via The Pennsylvania State University. She intends to earn her degree in 2026.

Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Price also dedicates time to improving her wider community. She is active with her local church and regularly takes part in food drives. Ms. Price assisted as the director of education and president-elect for the Mid-Atlantic Central Service Association and served on that organization’s board for five years. She has also offered insight as a committee member for the Advantage Support Services Standards Group.

Among her many accomplishments, Ms. Price is particularly proud of co-authoring a book, “W.I.L.D. The Pandemic: What I Learned During the Pandemic.” She was invited alongside three other health care to share her perspective on education and challenges faced by the sterile processing field during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the book published in late 2020, Ms. Price was able to offer much-needed advice to others in the field while the pandemic was ongoing. She considers this a major highlight of her career and hopes it can continue to provide guidance to health care professionals in any future medical emergency scenarios.

Beyond her career, Ms. Price is a loving mother to two and grandmother to one. Outside of work, she fills her time with attending church, visiting flea markets and volunteering for various activities. As she moves forward, Ms. Price aims to be a trailblazer in creating more leadership opportunities for women in her industry. She also hopes to achieve a project manager role in her hospital, allowing her to have greater and more lasting impact on the health system.
