From 2019 to 2022, Ms. Fleggas served as an assistant professor at Wake Technical Community College. Her early years were marked by her transition from adjunct roles, where she taught across multiple campuses without compensation for responsibilities outside the classroom, to a full-time temporary position created specifically for her due to her exemplary performance. This role soon became permanent, allowing Ms. Fleggas to focus on teaching approximately 120 students each semester and between 48 and 60 students every summer since 2016.

Ms. Fleggas began her teaching career in 2014 as an English instructor at both Wake Technical Community College and Durham Technical Community College. Her commitment to advancing these areas is evident through her active membership in professional organizations, such as the Two-Year College English Association.

In her free time, Ms. Fleggas enjoys writing fiction and articles. She is eager to expand her efforts in reaching students by evolving her pedagogy to address emerging trends, such as the use of artificial intelligence in writing instruction. She is also committed to equipping students with ethical skills for academic and professional success while continuing to publish articles that share effective teaching practices with educators worldwide. With ongoing dedication to growth both personally and professionally, Ms. Fleggas remains focused on making a lasting impact within higher education.
