Lamekia L. Ms. Primm has dedicated over two decades to the field of education, establishing herself as a secondary educator with the Dickson County School System. Her career began in 2004 with the Clarksville Montgomery County School System, where she served as a business instructor for 10 years. During this time, Ms. Primm honed her skills in business education and leadership, laying the foundation for her future endeavors.

In 2014, Ms. Primm transitioned to the Dickson County School System, where she continued her role as a business instructor until 2021. She worked for the district’s Creek Wood High School, where she facilitated a student-run business that produced and shipped products, like T-shirts and banners, across different states. This initiative provided practical experience for her students and fostered an entrepreneurial spirit within the classroom. Ms. Primm’s innovative approach included creating a business-like environment with cubicles and department heads, empowering students to manage their own projects.

From 2021 to 2024, Ms. Primm taught at Greenwood Alternative School in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System in Montgomery County, Tennessee. She then returned to her high school alma mater as an Edgenuity instructor, facilitating a program that allowed students to earn credits. Additionally, Ms. Primm implements her health and life coaching program, working closely with student clients one-on-one several times per week to track their progress and expand their potential.

As a certified health and life coach, Ms. Primm founded Coach Primm. Her business specializes in providing clients with health, life and business coaching programs, as well as educational services. Additional services include motivational speaking engagements, vision board workshops, personal budgeting and more.

Apart from her work in education and coaching, Ms. Primm is the chief executive officer of Servants to Serve, a decorating and catering business. This opportunity has allowed her to garner professional expertise in the hospitality sector. 

Ms. Primm’s educational background includes earning a bachelor’s degree from Austin Peay State University in 2003 and a master’s degree in business management and leadership from Campbellsville University in 2021. Her academic achievements have been instrumental in her success as an educator and leader. Ms. Primm further enhanced her expertise by obtaining a health and life coaching certification from the Health Coach Institute in 2022.

Active in her professional community, Ms. Primm is a member of the Tennessee Education Association. Beyond this endeavor, she is involved in civic organizations such as My Brother’s Keeper and One Nashville. She is also a church worship leader and serves on her church’s finance committee. 

As an author, Ms. Primm published “Foundation and Refinement Health & Life Coaching Workbook” in 2023, reflecting her dedication to personal development and empowerment.

Throughout her career, Ms. Primm has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to the field of education. She received the Green Apple Award in 2007 and was named Teacher of the Year in Dickson County in 2019. Most recently, she was honored as the Distinguished Educator of the Year at the district level in Clarksville-Montgomery County in 2024. 

Looking ahead, Ms. Primm plans to establish a youth financial center and a safe space for young adults to learn essential life skills. Her mission is to empower at-risk teens to live beyond their limitations by fully implementing her Foundation and Refinement program across various platforms, including rehabilitation centers for drugs and addiction.
