During these influential years, she primarily taught fourth- and fifth-grade students, although she also spent half a year teaching first grade upon returning to California. Ranked among the top school districts in America, all of Arcadia’s schools are recognized as National Blue Ribbon or California Distinguished Schools. The district comprises 11 schools and approximately 9,500 students.

Ms. Mortons educational background played a pivotal role in her success as an educator for so many years. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Stanislaus, and a Master of Arts from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, where she also obtained a teaching credential. While in college, she became an active member of the Kappa Phi. Ms. Morton’s academic achievements equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in her profession and make a lasting impact on her students lives.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms. Morton has been actively involved in various civic organizations. Her volunteer work includes coordinating food drives at her local church and participating in activities such as Operation School Bell and Day of Service through the Assistance League of Arcadia. Ms. Morton formerly served as a public relations officer and board member for Las Alas within the Assistance League of Arcadia. These endeavors highlight her commitment to giving back to her community and making a difference in the lives of others.

Ms. Morton is a well-written writer who has shared her insights and experiences through articles published in the Friday Bulletin for the Assistance League of Arcadia. Her writing reflects her dedication to education and community engagement.
