Besides her work with The Kinds Hall of Fame® LLC, Dr. Nesnick has served as a faculty development consultant at Victoria Nesnick’s Faculty Development Consulting since 2014, leveraging her many years in the classroom to support faculty and administrators as they face daily challenges within the teaching-learning process. Additionally, Dr. Nesnick has been teaching as an adjunct assistant professor at Hofstra University in the school of education in Hempstead, New York, since 2005.

Dr. Nesnick began her career in 1966 as a summer school reading and language arts teacher at Riverhead Public Schools in Riverhead, New York. She subsequently taught at the Bethpage School District in Bethpage, New York, from 1967 to 1997, was a student teacher supervisor, student academic advisor, professor and deputy chair of the childhood education division at Five Towns College in Dix Hills, New York, and held various administrative roles, such as associate dean of instruction at the Institute of Audio Research.

In addition to her full-time commitments, Dr. Nesnick lent her expertise to the field as a lecturer, workshop leader, in-service instructor and seminar presenter. She also assisted Bethpage School staff members with staff development and research grants and was a mentor at Long Island University.

Possessing a rich educational background, Dr. Nesnick received a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York at New Paltz in 1966, a Master of Science from Queens College in 1974, and a Doctor of Education in educational administration from Hofstra University in 2006. She also holds several professional designations as a nursery, kindergarten and grade 1-6 teacher in New York and a permanent certified school district administrator and supervisor.

Throughout her career, Dr. Nesnick has been supported through membership with the Bethpage Federation of Teachers, the American Federation of Teachers, the National Organization for Women, the Women’s National Book Association in New York City and the Society of Children’s Book Writers. She also had the opportunity to contribute articles to various professional publications and magazines and served as a newspaper columnist for a local publication for a brief time. Dr. Nesnick’s notable works included ‘Princess Diana: A Book of Questions and Answers.’

In light of her success, Dr. Nesnick received several accolades, including Number 1 Author by Central Boulevard Elementary School in Bethpage. However, she notes her most remarkable achievement is her ability to help individuals recognize the significance of their actions and the value of sharing their experiences.

Dr. Nesnick is eager about future opportunities. She intends to publish a series of books, which she believes should be required for all public schools nationwide. Her focus is not only on teaching about topics like Abraham Lincoln or George Washington but also on educating students about children and their history.
