Christopher J. Galloway, PhD, executive coach at Education Service Center, Region 20, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in education.
Dr. Galloway is recognized for his hard work and dedication as an adjunct faculty at Texas State University in the department of curriculum and instruction in San Marcos, Texas, since 2023. He has also served as an executive coach at the Education Service Center, Region 20, which is one of 20 regional education service agencies within Texas. Since 2023, he has provided executive coaching, strategic planning and leadership expertise to superintendents and district staff across school districts. As such, he focuses on providing educational leaders with strategies and resources that can enhance their leadership skills and significantly impact students. Furthermore, Dr. Galloway has owned Perfect Ashlar Publishing since 2020, providing his expertise to clients.
Leveraging his former success, Dr. Galloway began his career in education as a social studies teacher at the Brooks Academy of Science and Engineering from 2008 to 2011. He then became a college preparation and criminal justice teacher at Judson Independent School District between 2011 and 2014 before being promoted to the district’s academic dean. Dr. Galloway also worked for the Floresville Independent School District as the director of teaching and learning and for the DeKalb Independent School District as the superintendent until 2023. Besides his educational accomplishments, Dr. Galloway has become a published author, having released several books for adults and children, including “From Classroom to Superintendent: The Educator’s Guide to Climbing the Leadership Ladder” in 2024.
Dr. Galloway was active in the Texas Army National Guard from 1995 to 2001 as a military police officer. He received a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Education from American Military Academy in 2008 and 2011, respectively, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in education from Texas State University in 2019. He also holds a graduate certificate in educational leadership and administration from Lamar University in 2014 and a second graduate certificate in criminal justice from American Military University in 2019. Additionally, Dr. Galloway garnered several educational and coaching credentials. Besides his education, Dr. Galloway has been a prominent member of the Texas Association of School Personnel Administrators since 2014. Civically, he has served as a board member for ThrivePoint Academy and as the committee chair on masonic education for the Grand Lodge of Texas since 2023. Eager for future success, Dr. Galloway intends to continue impacting as many school districts as possible through his work, preparing future superintendents, coaching current leaders, and continuing to write and publish books and articles.
