Stephanie Rene Turner, MEd, founder, chief executive officer, and education consultant at Adjust The Angle LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in special education.

With two decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Turner has established a successful career in tutoring and education coaching, specializing in special education. Since 2023, she has excelled as the founder, chief executive officer, and education consultant of Adjust The Angle LLC. Her previous experience includes serving as a math interventionist at Richardson ISD from 2021 to 2023, education coordinator for English learners at K12 Inc./Stride Inc. from 2014 to 2020, special education administrator at K12 Inc./Stride Inc. in 2011, and special education lead teacher at Southwest Independent School District from 2008 to 2011. She is also a member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, serving as a board member for the high school parent-teacher association, and as a board member-elect and volunteer for the Young Men’s Service League. Laying an educational foundation, she earned a Bachelor of Science in special education and teaching from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2006 and a Master of Education in educational technology leadership from Lamar University in 2015. She holds a resource and consulting teacher certification for exceptional students and multiple teaching licenses issued by the Texas Education Agency.

Reflecting on her path, Ms. Turner discovered her passion for education through personal experiences within her family. As the eldest sibling, she excelled in school, while her younger brother and sister struggled daily. This stark contrast sparked her curiosity about why learning came easily to her but was so challenging for them. Her siblings were diagnosed with learning disabilities, revealing the root of their difficulties, and motivated by her love for them, she developed a deep desire to understand why learning varies so greatly and to find ways to bridge those gaps. She has dedicated her career to special education, ensuring all children have access to quality instruction. Over the past 20 years, she has specialized in providing tailored curricula, targeted instruction, and innovative solutions to address learning differences, disabilities, and language barriers.

Ms. Turner’s experience spans private, public, and charter schools, where she has trained teachers, audited programs for compliance, and overseen departments for English language learners and special education. She is committed to meeting students where they are, focusing on closing achievement gaps and ensuring they have the tools to succeed. She also has expertise in behavior management and reading intervention, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade with patience, kindness, and a focus on their individual needs. Additionally, she has authored two e-books available on her website. One empowers parents to advocate for their children’s educational needs, and the other simplifies math instruction for better understanding. In light of her impressive undertakings, she was featured in Force Magazine in 2025. She attributes her success to keeping her focus on the individual child, tailoring her approach to meet their unique needs.

Looking to the future, Ms. Turner envisions creating a series of practical guidebooks designed to be effective and accessible for parents, teachers, caregivers, and anyone working with children. Her goal is to demystify special education and academic milestones by providing clear, actionable strategies that require no additional training. She is also launching a Facebook community to foster support and information sharing. In the coming years, she plans to expand her impact as a speaker, course creator, and advocate for accessible, accurate information for parents navigating special education. Her upcoming series, “Teaching Math That Sticks,” begins with a fifth-grade book and will eventually cover all grade levels, offering practical tools to support student success.
