Ms. Misko is a former real estate professional who has since succeeded in the nonprofit sector. Leveraging many years of interest in education, she initially ran for her local school board at age 21 to help reform the public education system. Today, Ms. Misko is the founder of Libertarians for Learning, an organization dedicated to enhancing education opportunities for children through four initiatives: universal education choice, free workbooks, community libraries, and scholarships for educational purposes. Initially launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, the nonprofit relies on private, tax-deductible donations with expectations to expand internationally.
Having begun her real estate career in 1970, Ms. Misko spent her first 20 years with a local agency. Her tenure later included her role as a real estate broker associate at Century 21 Real Estate LLC and as the broker and owner of ADN Real Estate Services, a boutique property management company based in California. Additionally, Ms. Misko has gained experience managing her corporate rental properties in California, New Orleans, New York City and the Gulf Coast of Biloxi, Mississippi. She continues to invest in additional rental properties to expand rental options.
In addition to completing coursework at the State University of New York and the New York Institute of Technology, Ms. Misko received a real estate license and real estate broker license from the California Department of Real Estate, State of California. She has also been active with the Art Glass Association of Southern California, where she is now a past president. In 2005, Ms. Misko was recognized with a Metro Award, highlighting her accomplishments. Eager for the future, she is establishing a micro-school and advocating for universal education through Libertarians for Learning.
