Linda C. Carson, retired special education specialist and consultant at LCarson Educational Consultants, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in special education.
Ms. Carson is a retired special education specialist with over 25 years in education. Since 2023, she has been active as an educational consultant for her firm, LCarson Educational Consultations, in Prescott, Arizona. There, she has been instrumental in helping teachers, administrators and parents with various educational concerns, especially regarding special education students. She also hosts workshops and advocates for students. Besides her consulting work, Ms. Carson has been a part-time curriculum editor for LearningMate in Prescott and a sales consultant for OgStar Reading in Prescott since 2024.
A graduate of Northern Arizona University, Ms. Carson received a bachelor’s degree in special education with a minor in general education. Subsequently, she garnered a Master of Education from Arizona State University in 1990. Highly qualified in her field, she holds several professional credentials, including certification in special education advocacy and designation as an assistive technology and an Arizona cross-categorical special education teacher. Ms. Carson remains a member of the National Association of Special Education Teachers, where she remains at the forefront of the industry.
Ms. Carson chose to pursue a career in education due to her admiration for her teachers while coming of age. Throughout her tenure, she taught students from various economic backgrounds and garnered success in many different learning environments. Early in her career, Ms. Carson was a university student teacher supervisor and taught special education to San Diego State University students. She also taught in person and virtually for several public school districts in California and Arizona. Looking toward future opportunities, Ms. Carson aims to earn a doctorate in special education, develop special education advocacy in education consulting, and spend more time volunteering for worthy causes.
