Beginning as an English teacher at Pleasant View Junior Senior High School, where she served as department head, she then moved on to teach at Worthington High School. Having established herself in the education system, Mrs. Williams took her final position at Sycamore Junior High School, where she taught until retirement. As a result of her work within the curriculum field, she was honored with membership in the education fraternity, Phi Delta Kappa. She made a lasting impact on these institutions and the quality of education offered to students attending them.

International, an organization that provides educational opportunities for women across the world. According to Mrs. Williams, that dedication to upholding long-held standards and to helping others learn are to thank for her success. She believes in the importance of improving the process and methods of education for people regardless of their background.

Outside of her career, Mrs. Williams has been happily married for more than 50 years, with one son and two grandchildren. She fills her retirement with a variety of activities and interests. She enjoys hiking, biking, golfing, reading and traveling. Mrs. Williams is a dedicated member of the West Chester Presbyterian Church, where she has served as a Vacation Bible School Director, a deacon, an elder, and a choir member, recently helping to organize a celebration of the church’s 150th anniversary. Though she is retired, she is still in contact with many students and colleagues from her career – a testament to how well-regarded her influence has been.
