Monica Anca Fox, MA, MEd, associate faculty at Mt. San Jacinto College, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in academia.

With nearly two decades of experience to her credit, Ms. Fox has established a successful career in education, currently excelling as an associate faculty member at Mt. San Jacinto College, a role she has held since 2016. In this capacity, she teaches college competition, English 101, critical thinking and writing skills, and introduction to writing. She also authored “A Good Fox,” which delves into a poignant narrative exploring themes of identity, resilience, and personal growth. Additionally, she was a professor at Chamberlain University from 2021-2022 and a college instructor at Kaplan from 2007 to 2017. She also dedicates her time to volunteering with Foster Kids, Romania, and Every Generation Ministries. In light of her impressive undertakings, she has been honored with the Community Mentoring Big Sister of the Year Award by Big Brothers Big Sisters of San Diego County in 2022, the Associate Faculty of the Year Award by Mt. San Jacinto Community College in 2021, and Employee of the Quarter by Kaplan College in 2009.

Laying a solid educational foundation, Ms. Fox earned a Master of Education from the University of the Pacific and a Master of Arts in English from the National University. She is also certified in Microsoft Teams Essential Training by LinkedIn, Teaching Online: Synchronous Classes, and Life Coaching Certification by New Skills Academy. Reflecting on her journey, she has always been praised for her ability to explain concepts clearly. In high school, a teacher recognized her talent for explaining things to fellow students, which she found both enjoyable and fulfilling. This positive feedback continued in college, where professors commended her writing and encouraged her to pursue teaching as a career.

Ms. Fox’s most noteworthy accomplishment is her contribution during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. She played a pivotal role in helping students transition from in-person classes to online learning. While some students were familiar with online classes, many were not, and she guided them through the adjustment and the stress of the situation. Her dedication was recognized when a staff member nominated her for the Associate Faculty of the Year award, which she won. Looking ahead, she plans to write a non-fiction book for adults and will focus on her professional development full-time. She also intends to continue volunteering and positively impacting her community, as she finds giving back deeply rewarding. Additionally, she aims to travel more and immerse herself in different cultures.
