Dr. Tokea “Tan” Morales, chief learning officer at The National Black MBA Association, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Educators for dedication, achievements, and leadership in talent development and organizational learning.

With over 20 years of experience to her credit, Dr. Morales has carved out a distinguished career in the field of talent development and organizational learning. Currently excelling as the chief learning officer at the National Black MBA Association since 2024, she conducts data analysis, engages in conversations with various chapters, integrates data with initial thoughts, and programs conferences. She is also designing a curriculum of in-person and virtual experiences that start at the high school level. In addition, she has been a lecturer in human resource management at Northeastern University since 2022 and a faculty lecturer at The Executive Leadership Council since 2021.

Previously, Dr. Morales served as vice president of global talent enablement at Equifax from 2021 to 2024 and vice president of global learning and organizational development at the same company from 2020 to 2021. She also held several roles at Randstad Sourceright, including director of leadership and talent development from 2016 to 2020, senior manager of talent management and learning in 2015, manager of organization design and effectiveness from 2014 to 2015, senior organizational development consultant from 2012 to 2014, and organizational development consultant from 2010 to 2012. She began her career as a senior staff accountant at National Service Industries from 2001 to 2002. In addition to her primary vocation, she has maintained her involvement with the Pride Network, Bold, and the Global Women’s Network. She has also served on the advisory board of Gartner and as a board member of her sorority.

Laying a solid foundation for her future success, Dr. Morales pursued an education at the University of Cincinnati, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance in 2005. She continued her academic efforts at Georgia State University, obtaining a Master of Science in counseling and organizational psychology in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration in human resource management in 2010. She concluded her studies with a PhD from Northeastern University in 2019. Following these accomplishments, she completed various certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Georgia Institute of Technology, predictive index assessment from The Predictive Index, Hogan Personality Inventory from Hogan Assessments, DISC Communication Assessment from K2 Communications, 360 Degree Interrater Feedback from Korn Ferry, State of Georgia Certified Mediator, and Digital Transformation via Agile from Randstad.

In light of her impressive undertakings, Dr. Morales was recognized as a Top 100 L&D Professional by OnCon in 2023 and was a finalist for both Best Action and Excellence in Onboarding by TALiNT Partners in 2022. She received an Excellence in Onboarding award from the Brandon Hall Group in 2022 and was included in the Top 100 Global L&D Professionals by OnConferences that same year. Additionally, she earned the CEO Global Circle of Excellence award from Equifax in 202 and the One Equifax Award in 2020.

Dr. Morales attributes her success to people willing to give her opportunities and the drive to take on new challenges. When advising aspiring professionals, she emphasizes the importance of seeking opportunities to grow and learn. Looking ahead, she plans to publish her books and continue making significant contributions to the field of talent development and organizational learning.
