Her academic contributions span several prestigious institutions, including serving as a professor of peace and conflict studies at the UN-affiliated University for Peace in Costa Rica, where she has influenced numerous students and professionals since 2001. Additionally, she has been a special advisor to former President Jimmy Carter, providing invaluable insights and guidance since 1984. Her extensive career also includes roles such as professor of international politics at St. George’s University in Grenada, advisor to the Government of India, scholar-in-residence at American University, and president of Global Action Inc.
