A respected and certified educator with nearly 40 years of experience to his credit, Mr. Edmison has excelled as a middle school teacher with the First Lutheran School in Glencoe, Minnesota, since 2024. Focusing on subjects such as language arts, mathematics, physical education, and religion, he previously served as a middle school teacher with Gethsemane Lutheran School in Northglenn, Colorado, from 1986 to 1987, St. Mark-St. John Lutheran School in New Germany, Minnesota from 1987 to 2004, and Redeemer Christian Academy from 2004 to 2024. His success in his field extends beyond the classroom as well, having coached various middle school sports teams including flag football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, track, and softball toward tournament wins throughout his career. Likewise, Mr. Edmison has been continually ready to help those in need as a licensed first aid teacher and a volunteer fire department first responder, aiding those in car accidents, household emergencies, and health crises.
Prior to embarking on his professional path, Mr. Edmison pursued an education at Concordia University, from which he initially earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 1985. He concluded his formal academic efforts at the aforementioned university in 1992, graduating with a Master of Education in elementary education and teaching. He has attributed his success to the guidance of multiple mentors, including Pastor Ronald Mathison, Connie Stahlke, Bonnie Pevestorf, and Sandy Tutka, as well as the unwavering and invaluable support that he has received from his loving wife, Linda. Among the many highlights of his career, he is incredibly proud to have witnessed the subsequent success of his students, who have since carved out their own futures as doctors and executives in Washington, D.C., and frequently return to share their fond memories of his teachings with him. In the coming years, Mr. Edmison hopes to continue thriving as an educator imparting encouragement onto his students so they may do the right thing on an educational and spiritual level.
